A quiet time for new route launches as for western carriers the summer peak is well under way. But we still have new routes involving airports in Australia, Belarus, China, Colombia, Congo, El Salvador, India, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Sweden and Thailand.

Although the last week offered a modest 15 new routes, we have fantastic photo coverage to go with our comprehensive report. Several of the new routes are domestic Chinese services to remote regions, reflecting the Chinese government’s ambition to give these areas a greater share of the country’s economic growth.
