Geneva targets Singapore, Shanghai and Tokyo routes as it seeks to strengthen intercontinental network
Yves-Daniel Viredaz, Head of Marketing & Business Development, Geneva Airport (GVA), tells anna.aero how GVA’s efforts are focused on strengthening its intercontinental network, as the short/medium-haul network is very extensive. Singapore, Shanghai and Tokyo are in the top three destinations to be developed in Asia.
Royal Jordanian has returned to Geneva Airport with a twice-weekly service to Amman on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Meanwhile, ITA has launched services between Geneva and Milan Linate. The route is operated with 12 weekly frequencies.
Qatar Airways has resumed services on its route between Geneva and Doha. The service is currently being operated with four flights per week, with plans to increase to daily service in the summer. The route resumption was celebrated with a special ribbon cutting ceremony.
Air Serbia commenced a new service between Geneva and Belgrade on 1 March 2021. The airline is offering two weekly flights on the route on a year-round basis.
