Luxair has launched a new route between London City Airport and Antwerp. The route is operated four times weekly with a 78-seat De Havilland Dash DHC-8-Q400. The service will increase to five times weekly from April.
BA CityFlyer is launching new ski routes from London City Airport to Chambéry and Salzburg. The Salzburg service starts on 9 December 2022 and the Chambéry connection on 17 December 2022. Both routes will be operated twice-weekly.
London City Airport has appointed Andrew Hodges as its new Chief Commercial Officer. He will take up the role in February 2023. Hodges has 25 years’ experience in the airline sector, most recently at Norse Atlantic, where his responsibilities included network and airport development, and route performance.
British Airways has added a new route to its Aberdeen International Airport network operating to London City this winter. Flights will begin operating on 1 November 2022 and run until 22 January 2023 on the Embraer E190 aircraft.
BA CityFlyer has launched a twice-weekly service, operating on Fridays and Mondays, from London City Airport to San Sebastian. It is the UK’s only direct route to San Sebastian and is scheduled to operate until 2 September 2022 on Embraer E190s.

BA CityFlyer started services from London City Airport to Prague on 31 October with three weekly rotations. The airline is also planning to commence flights to Salzburg from 12 December on a three-weekly rotation, and two daily flights to Chambéry from 19 December.
Embraer E190-E2 makes first commercial flight into London City Airport with Helvetic Airways’ Zurich service
An Embraer E190-E2 has made its first commercial flight into London City Airport. The Helvetic Airways aircraft flew from Zurich to London, re-establishing an essential link for the global financial community. The aircraft was welcomed by a water salute from London City Airport’s fire service.
