Emirates has expanded its operations from London Gatwick Airport with the addition of a third daily A380 service. The additional frequency will offer enhanced capacity, with more than 1,000 seats from Gatwick to Dubai every day.
Bamboo Airways has arrived at London Gatwick Airport, launching a direct route from Vietnam’s capital Hanoi on 30 October 2022. It will add a direct service between Gatwick and Ho Chi Minh City on 7 December. Both routes will be operated weekly with the 787-9.
This October half-term, London Gatwick Airport will fly to almost 90% of the destinations it flew to at the same period in 2019. It will serve 172 destinations during the forthcoming holiday period, compared to 197 in the same period in 2019 (87%).
Norse Atlantic Airways has celebrated its inaugural service between London Gatwick and New York JFK. The route is operated daily with the 787 Dreamliner. On the same day, Norse Atlantic launched flights between London Gatwick and Oslo, enabling a continuous service between Oslo and New York via London.
JetBlue has launched services from Boston’s Logan International Airport to London’s Gatwick Airport. The daily nonstop service is part of the airline’s focus city strategy and its long-term transatlantic growth plans. London was the largest nonstop market not currently served by JetBlue from Boston.

Eastern Airways launched its new PSO route from Cornwall Airport Newquay to London Gatwick on 15 December 2021. anna.aero attended a reception to welcome the inaugural service and, most importantly, to sample the delicious Cornish pasties transported on the first flight.
Tampa International Airport has welcomed back British Airways with a real fanfare after a 20-month hiatus, with the airline restoring its nonstop connection to London Gatwick. Celebrations included a beautiful cake, balloons, and a band playing British songs at the gate.
JetBlue has expanded its presence in the transatlantic market with the launch of a new, nonstop service between New York JFK and London Gatwick Airport. The service is initially operated four times weekly in October, then daily from November onward.
Emirates will restart flights to London Gatwick from 10 December, responding to the easing of international travel restrictions and an upsurge in passenger demand for winter sun. The airline will resume services to its second London gateway with a daily flight operated by a B777.
