Airlines across the world seem to have decided that the beginning of March is a good time to start a new route. This week we have news and analysis on 27 new routes being started by 15 different airlines. This week’s new routes cover the globe from North to South America, Europe to the Middle East and a lot of activity in Australia. Airlines involved include Air Arabia, Alaska Airlines, Allegiant Air, easyJet, Norwegian, OpenSkies, Pacific Blue, TAM, United Express and Virgin Blue.
This week’s new routes are provided by Aer Lingus, airBaltic, Allegiant Air, easyJet, Indian Airlines, IndiGo, Kingfisher Red and Ryanair. The PR departments at easyJet (five new routes) and IndiGo (four new routes) have been kept busiest. We also report on the start of a new airline, GeorgiaSkies.
Air Dolomiti’s fleet of 19 regional aircraft is used primarily to connect Italian airports with Lufthansa’s Munich hub. But the airline also operates some other flights. The 146s will be replaced by Embraer 195s which may also appear at a new MXP base.
