Varna Airport H1 2017 traffic up 15%; Wizz Air opens base with six new routes; prepares to welcome Ryanair in W17/18 with Belgian link
Varna Airport has had a very successful year, with the airport in 2016 seeing 1.69 million passengers, the highest traffic result it has recorded this decade. Along with this milestone, the airport has seen the arrival of easyJet, plus expansion from the likes of Wizz Air and Norwegian, with Ryanair coming soon.
Wizz Air starts flights from Kiev Zhulyany to Copenhagen, Frankfurt Hahn, Lublin, Nuremberg and Poznan.
Germania adds links to Athens and Gazipasa-Alanya.
Eurowings begins twice-weekly flights between the two cities – launches a further four routes this week.
