This has been a busy week for route launches. Out of 75 new routes, 25 are started by Ryanair which launched its new Malaga base. Still, we have information and photos from all the remaining 50 worldwide routes, ranging from CityJet’s short hop across the English Channel to Qatar Airways new South American service.

Avianova, bmibaby, Delta, Ryanair, US Airways, Virgin Blue lead field of competitive new route announcements
This week’s new route annoucements included bmibaby going back to Germany, Delta entering the busiest US route, Ryanair giving Ciudad Real its first international route and US Airways heading both north and south of the border.
More interesting new routes started this week involving airports in Bahrain, Barbados, Canada, France, Iraq, Norway, Oman, Russia, the UK, Ukraine and the USA. Can Oman Air come up with another cake as good as last week’s award-winning creation?
