Over 500 new routes scheduled to launch in first three weeks of S18; Ryanair tops table with 66, US sees most new services by country
After a long and in some places cold winter, the start of the northern hemisphere’s summer season is upon us. Nick Preston takes a look at the schedules for the first three weeks of S18, which reveal that 125 airlines will begin more than 500 new routes across 97 countries during this period.
For one of the 27 airports involved in this week’s Arch of Triumph public vote it will be a great start to the summer season, because within seven days one airport will have a new certificate adorning the fire station walls, and the fire crews will be the toast of the airport. Let battle commence!!
