Over 500 new routes scheduled to launch in first three weeks of S18; Ryanair tops table with 66, US sees most new services by country

After a long and in some places cold winter, the start of the northern hemisphere’s summer season is upon us. Nick Preston takes a look at the schedules for the first three weeks of S18, which reveal that 125 airlines will begin more than 500 new routes across 97 countries during this period.

WestJet has announced that from April it will begin daily flights from Halifax to London Gatwick and Paris CDG, marking its first operations to the French capital.
