Jiri Vyskoc, Executive Director of Aviation Business Development, Prague Airport, tells anna.aero about the top unserved routes the airport has identified, as well as the success of recently-launched routes from Prague to the Middle East and North America.
Prague Airport has welcomed the launch of three new routes. Jazeera Airways has launched a twice-weekly route between Prague and Kuwait, Azerbaijan Airlines has started a twice-weekly service between Prague and Baku, and Air Montenegro is operating twice-weekly from Tivat to Prague.
Delta Air Lines has restored its nonstop service between Prague and New York-JFK. The route is operated with the 767-300. Before boarding, passengers were treated to a carnival atmosphere, enjoying refreshments as well as a cake-cutting ceremony.
PLAY has launched a new route between Prague and Keflavik. The service is operated twice-weekly on Thursdays and Sundays. Prague Airport welcomed the inaugural flight with a perfectly-executed, traditional Fire Truck Water Arch.
flynas has launched its first direct service between Riyadh and Prague. The route is operated three times weekly – on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays – with the A320neo. Prague Airport celebrated with an amazing cake, winning anna.aero’s prestigious Cake of the Week prize.
Prague Airport has welcomed the arrival of new carrier Flyr, which has launched a twice-weekly service to Oslo. The airline commenced operations on the 1,138km sector on 7 April 2022, utilising its 189-seat B737-800.
Eurowings has launched its new base in Prague. The Lufthansa subsidiary has already commenced routes to Bristol, Copenhagen, Milan and Fuerteventura, among other destinations. These are just four of an initial 14 new Eurowings destinations from Prague in the current winter schedule.
