Following the operational rationalisation of airBaltic in 2012, Riga Airport consolidated its annual passenger performance last year, posting a modest increase of 0.4%. With Wizz Air launching its 17th base at the Latvian gateway this June, anna.aero takes a closer look at the airport’s recent activity and reveals how dominant airBaltic is this summer.
Last week, Wizz Air opened its 17th base at Riga with three new routes as well as another seven services from Gdansk, Poznan, Warsaw Chopin in Poland, Tuzla in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Vilnius in Lithuania.
