Bonza’s first aircraft has touched down at Sunshine Coast Airport. It is the first 737 MAX to be based in Australia and will be part of a fleet of brand-new aircraft based initially on the Sunshine Coast and in Melbourne.
Air New Zealand has recommenced direct flights between Auckland and Sunshine Coast, with a welcome event including gifts and entertainment for arriving passengers. The route will be operated twice-weekly on Mondays and Saturdays until 15 October.
New Australian low-cost carrier Bonza has announced its route map and two bases at Sunshine Coast Airport and Melbourne Airport. 25 routes have been announced to 16 destinations, operated with Bonza’s fleet of 737 MAX aircraft. 80% of these routes are currently unserved.
Air New Zealand has launched a direct service between Sunshine Coast and Auckland as part of the recommencement of quarantine-free trans-Tasman bubble arrangements between New Zealand and Queensland. Sunshine Coast Airport celebrated with a spectacular cake, winning anna.aero’s prestigious Cake of the Week prize.
