Sooner or later someone had to back down. With up to five carriers competing on some leisure routes from Copenhagen it was inevitable that not all would succeed. Good news for Cimber Sterling and Norwegian as Transavia.com plans to close its Danish base by April.

This has been a busy week for route launches. Out of 75 new routes, 25 are started by Ryanair which launched its new Malaga base. Still, we have information and photos from all the remaining 50 worldwide routes, ranging from CityJet’s short hop across the English Channel to Qatar Airways new South American service.
