–EL DORADO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
AEROPUERTO INTERNACIONAL MONSEÑOR OSCAR ARNULFO ROMERO
Colombia’s El
Dorado
International Airport
serving Bogota handled
over 25 million
passengers for the first
time last year, partly
thanks to the opening of
the new main terminal.
Passenger numbers have
virtually doubled at the
airport in just six years,
reflecting the huge
increase in demand for
air travel in Colombia.
Growth to Europe will be
significant this summer
with Avianca resuming
flights to London
Heathrow in July, and
TAP Portugal
commencing service
from Lisbon, also in July.
Bogota Airport’s Peter Fleming Jimenez, Aviation
Marketing Director, and Juan Rodrigo Ramirez Arroyave,
Production and Planning Director, talked anna.aero’s Ralph
Anker through the latest news from the Colombian airport.

AEROPUERTO INTERNACIONAL MONSEÑOR OSCAR ARNULFO ROMERO
With passenger
numbers up 3%
last year, Dallas/Fort Worth
International Airport
(DFW) broke through the 60
million mark once again.
This summer the airport is
excited by the addition of
some new international
services to Asia. In June,
American Airlines will
begin daily flights to both
Hong Kong and Shanghai
using 777s. In addition,
American Airlines will
resume flights to
Edmonton in June after an
18-year hiatus. Another
exciting development will
be the arrival of another
oneworld airline, Qatar
Airways, which will
introduce daily flights from
Doha starting in July.
Another of the major Gulf
carriers, Etihad Airways, is
expected to launch flights
to DFW from Abu Dhabi in
December.
